本人对10天干的英语翻译缩写形式:

60干支的英语翻译写得很长,十分不方便编写英语万年历,本人使用它的缩写形式,并用正规译法作注释就行了:

天干：Heavenly Stems(H-S)

简写形式                                 全称注释

甲：1H              (the first of the ten Heavenly Stems.)

乙：2H           (the 2nd of the ten Heavenly Stems.) 

丙：3H           (the 3rd of the ten Heavenly Stems.)

丁：4H           (the 4th of the ten Heavenly Stems.)

戊：5H          (the 5th of the ten Heavenly Stems.)

己：6H           (the 6th of the ten Heavenly Stems.)

庚：7H          (the 7th of the ten Heavenly Stems.)

辛：8H          (the 8th of the ten Heavenly Stems.)

癸：10H        (the last of the ten Heavenly Stems.)

地支：Earthly Branches  (E-B):

子：1E           (the first of the twelve  Earthly Branches.)

还有很多如28宿等的翻译等待续.

我个人觉得这样的翻译外国人根本还是不明白是怎么回事，国外不懂中国文化的华人也不知道是什么意思。农历一月为什么不翻译成 Jan. of lunar calendar? 因为平常说的一月是阳历的。

至于24节气，我觉得我们可以用 “chunfen" 来代表，然后再付上楼主的英文解释。 这样就不会一个中文的专有名词解释成一个长句了。因为只有对中国文化很感兴趣的人，自然能记得住“chunfen" 这两个发音。

本人的农历28宿的翻译方案：

       完整的农历28宿名分为：宿名+曜名（属性）+动物名（代表物）

本人对宿名的翻译采用网友的建议，用音译法：

       主要采用汉语拼音，如果音同，则在拼写上作一些加工，即音同但为了区分，要做到形不同。

角 ：Jiao     亢：Kang    氐：Di   房：Fang   心：Xin    尾：Wei   箕：Jee

斗：Dou      牛：Niu       女：Niei 虚：Kxu       危：Vei  室：Shi     壁：Bi

奎：Kui        娄：Lou     胃：Wei 昴：Mao      毕Bea    觜：Kzi      参：Kshen

井：Jing      鬼：Gui      柳：Liu  星：Xing      张：Zhang   翼 ：Yee    轸：Zhen

       农历28宿中的曜名采用意译法，但还是有难度，因为汉语中的曜名有两层意思，而翻译只能取其中一层意义，而另一层意义就会失去：如农历28宿中的“金”是既指五行中的“金”是一种物质，又指“金星”这个星球，但英语又是单意语言，不能两全，恳望广大网友提出建议，谢谢。

我是这样翻译的（但失去了汉语中的一层意义）

日：Sun   月：Moon    火：Fire    水：Water   木：Wood   金：Metal   土：Earth

(这样翻译，使其中的金，木，水，火，土这五个失去了表示金星，木星，水星，火星，土星的意义，这得另外说明）

第三部分是28种动物，除了12生肖中的动物外，还有16种动物。

鼠：Rat    牛：Ox   虎：Tiger    兔：Rabbit  龙：Loong 蛇：Snake   马：Horse  羊：Ram  猴：Monkey 狗：Dog

 猪：Pig

另外16种是：

狐：Fox  鹿：Deer

蛟：

天干地支用音譯來翻譯成英文比較好！！！

我是来学习的，我们本国人都还没学会，就益鬼佬了．用音譯可以玄一些．

呵呵,谢谢春光,我想和您合作,共同推出一个EN版的万年历!不知阁下意下如何,我目前正在牧夫天文找人帮助 完善下纯天文算法的朔望+节气计算方法(天体力学 Vsop87 + ELP2000-82),并且要求的精度也比较高,一旦理论得到完善,我将马上将这些用于我的一个开源软件中,并且我编写这个软件之初,就是为多国语言而准备的.

刘国安教授的万年历很优秀,但不开源,对于国内农历历法的推广和学习很不好.所以我决定为推广农历而出一点绵力!

     谢谢geoh大师对我的抬举和信任。我也是一个天文爱好者，很久就打算推出一个EN版的万年历！但由于能力和时间有限，所以才没有推出，至于牧夫天文论坛我也去。那里的天文爱好者很多，能人也是很多，我也有那里的ID。

     我认为，我可以支持和尽我的最大努力帮助您，至于合作谈不上，万年历软件推出后，版权全部属于您的，我提出的东西您如果认为对这个软件有帮助的话尽可拿去使用。

      至于万年历的外观版式，我现在有一个方案，有时间的话我会拿给您看，它和日棱万年历及其他的万年历还有些不同。

         我们的共同目的是要把中国优秀的农历历法（中国是现今世界上唯一的彻底使用实际天文参考系的历法，历算性质是天文年历性质，它是现代天体力学推演的，已不同于清代的时宪历法，应有一个新的版本名称，本人暂叫紫金历）推向世界，把中国的农历上的传统节日介绍给外国朋友。

       希望您我共同努力实现。

现在我正在想农历72候的部分名称（可能是错误，又非常的长，难懂，推出简明名称）及对它们的翻译问题。

我希望，这个版本一定要把农历72定候加入其中。
